
Meditation Resources

Meditation has many benefits, including:
- Calming the body and the mind
- Lowering blood pressure
- Allowing the body to heal
- Connecting to spirit.
Meditation is too often focussed on sitting cross-legged and clearing your mind. This is not a natural approach.
Joe’s approach to meditation is more informal. He believes that there are only 3 things to remember in meditation:
- That you are comfortable
- That your spine is straight
- That the meditation is enjoyable.
Sitting in a chair, laying down, sitting against a wall – these are all perfectly fine positions for meditation.
Although attending a meditation class can be very helpful in building good meditation habits, you can also simply meditate in your own home or out in nature. There are plenty of guided meditation podcasts available to help you meditate.
Instrumental or classical music can also aide meditation (however, songs with English words tend to distract the mind).
