Mediation

Has your workplace become an unhappy place?
Joe Veraa specialises in mediating workplace disputes. He started his mediation experience at Brisbane City Council (with over 9,000 employees, and where Joe was also Council’s Community Consultation Manager).
Mediation is usually between 2 parties or people who cannot agree on how they can work together. Mediation is a confidential process, so as to allow all sensitive matters to be discussed.
During mediation, the 2 people who are in disagreement are each given an opportunity to give their story. Both people are then facilitated through a lengthy 2-way conversation that looks at all the issues and all the feelings that have been created.
Possible solutions are then explored and finally a written confidential agreement is reached by the 2 people involved.
Don’t leave it too late – disputes can get out of hand!

Joe’s formal qualifications in mediation include:
- Qualified mediator, including Certificate for Facilitating Effective Groups
- Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution – Griffith University Law School – 2011
Please note that Joe does not mediate in family law cases.
